A Trip to Aravali Biodiversity Park with Family

Being a trek lover, I always wanted to explore the famous Aravalli biodiversity park. Finally, the day came when I decided to visit this place with my family members for a trek and explore nature at its best. To better explore the picturesque natural beauty, we planned to head to this location via a car rental in Gurgaon with a courteous driver early in the morning.

Upon reaching the Aravalli Biodiversity Park, I was amazed to see the beauty all around – it is the best place for nature lovers! Spread out on a vast 153 acres on the oldest Aravalli range, the Aravalli Biodiversity Park is truly a hidden gem that is a host to a rich biodiversity of wild flora and fauna.

Moreover, to give you a better overview, here is a quick run-through of the scenic spots we explored at the Aravalli Biodiversity Park.

  • Witness the colosseum of biodiversity

As we trekked on the rocky terrains of the Aravalli Biodiversity Park, the stunning Aravalli hills glimpsed like an arena of biodiversity. With the mellow sun rising from behind to greet us, we felt like jogging in a pool of the most captivating orange coloured waves. As the fresh morning breeze touched against my skin, I heard the melodic call of a koel with other birds chirping around, making the trekking terrain a pleasure to jog.

As we moved a bit further, we saw a dazzling blue-headed peacock calling out from one of the hills to which two blotchy brown peahens harmonically responded. Apart from the peacocks and chirping birds, we got intoxicated by the smell of beautiful wildflowers in a vibrant forest that made us fall in love with its untouched beauty.

  • Explore the rich flora and fauna

The geographic terrain of the Aravalli Biodiversity Park remains filled with lush green forests, picturesque lakes, majestic Aravalli peaks and vast expanses of wilderness. The region presently hosts around 160 species of wildflowers and more than 175 bird species that bewitch visitors like us with their ethereal beauty.

Some common flora species are Boswellia serrata (salai), Albizia odoratissima (Kala basa) and Anogeissus pendula (dhau), Rufous-fronted Prinia, Oriental Magpie Robin, Purple Sunbird, Common Tailorbird, Long-tailed Shrike, Jungle Prinia, Rufous Treepie, and Common Babbler are the popular bird species in this biodiversity park. A true treasure!

Moreover, being relatively undiscovered, this place oozes serenity and fresh air that can immerse you in its unparalleled natural beauty.

  • Relish coconut water on the highway

As there are no eateries inside the biodiversity park, I advise everyone to carry some light snacks and water while visiting this place. However, if you want to relish energizing coconut water after a tiring trek, you can drive down to the Gurgaon Faridabad road.

After visiting this place and coming back with a memorable experience, I can undoubtedly say that it does not matter whether you are walking, strolling, trekking, or just gazing at the sunrise, people can always have a serene and refreshing experience visiting the Aravalli Biodiversity Park.

With the wildflowers blooming around and beautiful birds chirping, there are different spots in this biodiversity park where we can rest and admire the stunning natural beauty. An ideal place for a family outing, it is the best place to explore nature and to go trekking into the heart of the city.
