Bobby Kristina, the daughter of legendary singer Whitney Houston and former R & B bad boy Bobby Brown, had her acting debut tonight in Tyler Perry’s sitcom For Better or for Worse. After months of delays and rumors of Bobby Kristina walking off the set of the TBS show, Tyler Perry penned a heartfelt message to his fans announcing Bobby Kristina’s acting debut: “Ok, with my heart and soul I will help and protect this child, just as I tried to do for Whitney. So with that said, one thing I knew that Krissi would need after Whitney’s death was a safe place to grieve. So when she told me she wanted to act I said I would help. If she had said she wanted to be a doctor I would have tried to help her get into the best schools.”
Bobby Kristina played a salon receptionist/college student named Tina in tonight’s episode of For Better or For Worse. I have to admit she looked pretty good in that dress, as I was trying to figure out if it was purple or electric blue – but she was definitely working it. She did a really good job on her acting debut as she fit in really well with the rest of the ladies at the salon , and her parts seemed really natural and not forced.
It seems like most of Tina AKA Bobby Kristina’s time on the job was spent talking on the phone and eavesdropping on the rest of the girls conversation. One thing I do like about Tyler Perry’s productions are most of the female actors have curves and resemble women we all know. However, during a dinner date between the guys and the girls Jennifer was talked about on both sides because of her weight. She quickly let them know, that she is not ashame of who she is, and she better have a to go plate tomorrow as she stormed out the door.
Overall, I think Bobby Kristina did a great job on her acting acting, but I was expecting to see a little more of her.
