Tonight’s Episode of BET Sunday Best found us down to the final four contestants, which included Joshua Rogers, Michael Lampkin, Alexis Spight and Danetra Moore. The special guests for this episode were the Clark Sisters and Kierra Sheard. After Sunday Best favorite Ashford Sanders departed last week, I was expecting the unexpected.
Danetra Moore was the first performer singing “Jesus Can Work It Out.” Danetra looked beautiful as usual, but it seemed to be something missing from her performance although all of the judges gave her praise.
Pastor Michael Lampkin blessed the stage as a he sang “Awesome God” by Fred Hammond. As usual, the Pastor’s performance was on point and his swag was at 100. Kirk Franklin and CiCi Winans loved his performance and they were wondering what he can’t do. Yolonda Adams and Donnie McClurkin enjoyed the young man as well.
Alexis Spight sung Sunday Best Coach Kim Burrell’s “Calvary” and the pressure was on. Alexis rose to the occasion and showed the world she is indeed Sunday’s Best. All of the judges gave their stamp of approval and they were amazed at how well the 18 year old sung her mentor’s song.
Joshua Rogers AKA Young Buck sung Detric Hatton’s “Well Done” so beautifully the angels in heaven were rejoicing. By Far, this was the most powerful performance of the night and the crowd responded. Donnie told Joshua that he has a serious anointing on his life. All Yolonda and CiCi said was well done.
Kierra Sheard blessed us with “Indescribable” and I was blown away by her performance. This was my first time seeing her perform and she is definitely the future of Gospel music.
At the end of the night, Pastor Michael Lampkin and Danetra Moore were sent home and the “Young Bucks” advanceGoogle+
