There are tons of deals out there for extended Black Friday deals that lead into Cyber Monday– that wonderful Monday after Thanksgiving where you can shop safely from the comfort of your home.

For those of you who do not know- the term was first coined in 2005 by Shop.org. This was their way of bumping up sales through the savvy strategy of associative advertising.

I set out with the goal of finding you the best deals on music and related technology, and believe I located some of the best deals to help you cross these items off your shopping list. The information I have for you pertains to music lovers of any degree. There are savings out there that are great for either the musician in your family, or just that audio enthusiast looking to expand their collection.

1. IK Multimedia Cyber – Up to 50% off recording and editing programs such as AmpliTube, VocaLive, and SampleTank for $9.99 at the iTunes app store. Also, all twelve versions of GrooveMaker for iPhone/iPad are an amazing 75% off at $1.99 each for the iPhone or iPad. You can also get hooked up on all associated software plug-ins through in-app purchasing. This sale extends through Thursday Dec. 5th.

2. iTunes – iTunes actually has a free app to help you find the best Cyber-Week deals. On the site itself you can browse through albums and music related apps. In my research, I found that many music distributors, such as Korg, are offering deals through iTunes. It is worth your time to peruse the website for your mobile music needs. You can purchase an iTunes gift card through nearly any retailer these days. The deals vary, but the savings can really lessen the strain on your wallet during holiday shopping. Also, just as an added detail- do not forget that iTunes offers a free download every week.

3. Musicians Friend – You can find up to 70% off selected guitars and amps. There is a full range of items to satisfy your inner musician or that musical relative, from microphones and tuners, to pedals and chords. This handy website also splits up their retail for you into convenient tabs that highlight specific items such as: stocking stuffers, gifts under $100 and top gifts for kids. Many selections have a free gift of upwards of $20 value- things like free shirts and free sets of guitar strings. Just an extra little something to add in the stocking.

Best Buy Cyber Monday Deals

5. Best Buy Cyber Week – The website is hosting a week long event where you can save up to 40% off select albums, and pick up a $100 iTunes gift card for only $85. There is the new Pioneer Wi-Fi speaker for the iPod, iPhone or iPad for only $79.99, and, in some cases, up to $100 savings for all manner of devices (phones, computers and tablets) to store and play your new music. While the phrase may be “Cyber-Monday,” the deals that I located are running the entire week. Get a jumpstart on your holiday shopping without having to fight the old woman in her housecoat barreling down the aisle shoulder-checking people.
