Team Blake

Sisaundra Lewis had an incredible performance singing Tina Turner’s hit, “River Deep Mountain High” Shakira told her she is a professional and amazing. Adam loved her choice of song because it showcased her abilities. Blake wanted America to know Sisaundra picked the song and did a great job.

Audra McLaughlin sang “Forgive” By Rebecca Lynn Howard. Audra had a good performance.  Blake thinks she unstoppable and makes people feel what she is singing.

Jack Worthington brought life to The Voice with Brooks and Dunn’s “Hillbilly Deluxe”. Shakira thought he attacked every note and performed with the right attitude. Blake congratulated Jake on introducing fans to Jake the artist.

Team Usher

Team Usher’s only artist, Josh Kaufman, sang, “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonlver. Josh’s tender soulful performance left the audience in awe. Shakira found his tone interesting.  Blake said it had magic and it was really good. Usher felt it was one of his greatest performances since joining the voice.

Team Adam

Kat Perkins chose to put an amazing heavy metal spin on Pharrell’s “Get Luck.” Usher said it was incredible. Adam said they knew they had to go big and it was one of the most unique performances.

Delvin Choice had a big performance when he took on “I Can Fly” by R. Kelly.  Blake it was powerful and a perfect song that showed his emotion.

Adam chose “How To Love” by Lil’ Wayne for Christina Grimmie. Once again she slayed a rapper’s hit.  Christina proved why she should win The Voice. She had the performance of the night. Blake said she looked and sounded like a super star. Adam thanked her for trusting him in choosing the song. He also said she created a new thing because there is no other version of the song.

Team Shakira

Kristen Merlin had a heartfelt performance with “I Drive Your Truck.” Blake thought she did a great job and made a believer out of him. Shakira was moved and thought it was transcendent.

Ashley Rae, new media journalist, beginning her career in television in 2007 at Comcast Television. She started freelance writing in summer of 2013 for local newspapers and is a video journalist for Lareena Larue. Ashley Rae has a B.A. in Communication/Electronic Media from the University of Michigan and a M.A. in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University.
