Team Adam Begins With A Rough Start

Audra Mclaughlin and Megan Rüger agreed to perform “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus. Chris Martin suggested bringing the Mick Jagger into the performance as both Audra Mclaughlin and Megan Rüger started their rehearsal out rough. While both ladies performance wasn’t flawless Monday night Megan seemed to face more challenges. Blake agreed with Shakira and Usher picking Audra over Megan.  Blake believes Audra has a pitch perfect powerful voice.

Powerful “Get Here” Duet

Cierra Mickens and T.J. Wilkins of Team Usher chose to sing “Get Here.” This performance was more of a duet rather than a battle resulting to Shakira bowing down to them. Both contestants were powerhouses equally matched.  There was a connection on the performance that sucked Blake in. Usher picked T.J. Wilkins beccause “it was shocking T.J. made the song his own” with it being a female vocalist song. Shakira was sad to see Cierra go home since she stolen by Usher last week.

Judges Give Standing O And Fight For A Steal

Tess Boyer and Jake Worthington battled to stay on Team Blake singing “Have A Little Faith In Me.”  They gave a stunning performance leading to a standing ovation by the judges. Blake said “it blows” to have to make this decision. Blake casted his vote for loyalty and kept Jake.

Shakira thinks “Tess is a revolution” and blew her away leading her to push the steal button along with Usher and Adam. Usher asked Tess to come back home singing “reunited and it feels so good.” Adam thought it would be smart for Tess to go with him, but she went to Team Shakira.

Christina  Grimmie and Sam Behymer Are “Counting Stars”

Adam and Chris gave a huge critique during rehearsals because both ladies were all over the place while taking on the One Republic Hit. Christina and Sam took their advice and had control of the rhythm in the battle. Both contestants have unique sounds to their voice that sounded alike at times during the performance.  Adam made a gut decision and chose Christina as the winner because she seemed “more prime and ready.”

Team Shakira Gives A Rock N Roll Moment

Josh Murley and Patrick Thomson both were stolen during the first battle round from Team Adam. They chose to perform “Run To You” by Brian Adams in which is more Josh’s style. Shakira felt the battle was evenly matched. She chose Patrick because she feels she will be able to coach him better.

Team Adam’s Epic Performance Of The Night

Adam was not happy with his chose to put Delvin Choice and Josh Kaufman head to head after rehearsal. The guys’ choice of song was “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” Delvin and Josh delivered a great performance. Usher thought, “vocally this was the performance of the day.” Delvin was Usher and Shakira’s pick based on improvement and shock.  Adam was not happy knowing he could “lose a potential winner of this thing.” Adam did go with Delvin as the winner. Usher instantly hit his steal button before Carson could offer the opportunity to steal.
