Last week I wrote about how it sucks and rules to be broke. I write from experience so I know what it feels like to only have lint in your pockets. However, I’ve never been rich but I did have a few days where I was carrying a lot of money in my pocket to run some errands and pay some bills. I’m saying that qualifies as being rich though you may say “nay” to the idea. Here are ten reasons why being rich rules and why it blows.
Why it rules
•You need to get something? Just buy it. You want to get something? Just buy it.
•For the shallow people, your confidence skyrockets.
•Your bills are always accounted for.
Why it sucks
•If you’re like me, money always burns a hole in your pocket. You turn into a shopaholic.
•Expect friends and family asking for handouts. Whenever I get some cash, whether it’s a five dollar bill I find on the floor, there’s always a family member asking for a piece of it. You have one in your family, too, don’t front.
•For the shallow people, your confidence goes up. But it’s only temporarily and you soon feel empty.
•You rely on the cash to make you feel secure. Yes, cash is a good, thin security blanket but you’ll need more.
•Money can, for the most part, buy you (temporary) happiness but it can’t buy you love (for more than a whole night).
I’m not saying that money is a bad thing, it’s the carelessness of handling money that terrible. Come up with a financial plan to save your cash you won’t end up like MC Hammer.Google+
