Who exactly knows when Britney Spears is going to release her new album? It’s scheduled for December of this year but it may be pushed back if the timeline is any indication of where it’s going. Britney Spears has released seven albums since her debut in 1999. She’s had her ups, her downs, and her middles throughout her career; and we were her audience through everything. •The album was released on January 12, 1999.


•The album received mixed reviews from critics even going as far as saying the album was premature and silly.


•Despite the bad reviews, the album managed to go fourteen-times platinum, selling over 12 million copies in the US.


•Is one of the best selling albums of all-time selling 30 million copies worldwide.

•Spawned over 5 singles included …Baby One More Time, Sometimes, (You Drive Me) Crazy, Born To Make You Happy, From The Bottom of my Broken Heart.


•Spears is credited as saying that the songs on the album didn’t showcase her vocal talent as the songs were very simplistic.


•One of the many composers list on the album was Sonny Bono. Bono was the former husband of Cher.


•Was nominated for Best New Artist in 2000 but eventually lost out to Christina Aguilera.


•Believe it or not but this was the solo debut of Britney Spears. She was in a band, Innosense, where they released only one album and soon separated.
