Spotify was one of the most sought-after names and brands in music technology and social media news throughout all of 2011, mainly through the partnership formed with Facebook. Now, Spotify and The Coca Cola Company have just announced a global partnership to help both brands expand their reach in the music world.
This new partnership, reported on TechCruch, Mashable and in PC Magazine, will focus on the elements of global, technology, social, and a commitment to music. Spotify explained that Coca-Cola will be a huge factor in bringing Spotify to new markets around the world
In the report on Tech Crunch, Daniel Ek, founder of Spotify, had the following to say about the partnership:
“This is a really exciting day for us. We are partnering with one of the most known brands in the world. .. From Spotify’s perspective, this partnership is just as important as our deal with Facebook.”
Spotify also announced new brand apps with Intel, AT&T, McDonald’s, and Reebok.
