Soul Legend Barry White Awarded Star

Though it doesn’t mean anything anymore, Barry White, the soulful, elegant, soothing-voiced, R&B singer was finally awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. White had passed a little over ten years ago from kidney failure at the age of 58.

Berry Gordy, the father of Motown spoke on behalf of the legend at the event. Ana Martinez, a producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies stated:


“People can’t get enough of Barry White’s music and even though he passed away many years ago, his songs will live on in the hearts of many…We are honored to have Barry White, his legendary voice and timeless songs immortalized on the Walk of Fame.”
