Clear Channel Communications announced a partnership with the Big Machine Label Group to accelerate the innovation in the digital radio space. Some of Big Machine’s more popular artists are Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Edens Edge and Ella Mae Bowen. The partnership aims to increase the streaming radio revenue given to artists and labels while driving the growth of the digital radio.

Music recognition service Shazam is making a shift from music to TV. In an interview with PC Magazine, Shazam’s Andrew Fisher discusses how his company is venturing from a music focus to what he calls “media discovery.
