5 Most Interesting Musicians to Follow on Google+

1 2821

Last night I was making some updates to my Google+ Page and I ran across some pretty interesting artists that you should follow.

Ninah Mars is an Italian/Venezuelan alternative rock artist that plays with a band of misfits called the Stickfaces. Ninah is better known for her cover versions of Lady Gaga, but she is a real talented musicians. The rocker holds a degree in Show Production & Touring from Full Sail University and has been performing since she was four years old.

Yoko Ono, the widow of, John Lennon, one of my favorite songwriters of all-time is pretty active on the internet to my surprise. So when I saw her on Google+, I had to include her on the list. It looks like she just joined Google+ recently, but hopefully she will be as active on it as she is on Twitter. IMAGINE PEACE: Think PEACE, Act PEACE, Spread PEACE….

Daria Musk is one of the few musicians that actually knows how to use Google+ effectively to promote their brand. She became a social phenom using G+ by hosting a 24 hour hangout concert and during her New Years Hangout. Daria relentlessly played for thousands of fans during a 24 hour stretch and posted a map with pins that indicated their location on her profile.

Elijah MC is one of the most interesting artists that I’ve seen in a longtime. Have you ever seen someone beat boxing and playing a drum machine with their feet at the same time? His style is a mix of reggae, old school hip-hop and drum and bass. Think: Damian Marley meets Venice Beach street performer.

Soulja Boy did it on MySpace and he did it on YouTube. Love him or hate him he is one of the greatest viral marketers that I ever seen. A self-made millionaire at the age of 16, all by Cranking Dat Soulja Boy. So when I saw he had over 500,000 followers on Google+, I wasn’t the least bit surprised.
