Facebook and Twitter is being blasted surrounding Thursdays feud between the Twerking Diva Miley Cyrus and the 1990’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” Irish singer Sinead O’Connor. Social media hasn’t been so heated up ever since Amanda Bynes went on her own rampage on Twitter. The Irish singer took it upon herself posting an open letter directing Miley’s interview on The Rolling Stones… in which Miley stated, O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” music video had inspired “Wrecking Ball”.
“…your Wrecking Ball video was designed to be similar to the one for Nothing Compares… So this is what I need to say… And it is said in the spirit of motherliness and with love.”
“I am extremely concerned for you that those around you have led you to believe, or encouraged you in your own belief, that it is in any way ‘cool’ to be naked and licking sledgehammers in your videos”
“The music business doesn’t give a shit about you, or any of us. They will prostitute you for all you are worth, and cleverly make you think its what YOU wanted… and when you end up in rehab as a result of being prostituted, ‘they’ will be sunning themselves on their yachts in Antigua…”
Miley didn’t take very kindly to O’Connor’s Motherliness letter and in response Miley posted a two year old picture of O’Connors tirade on twitter, when she was battling mental illness.
Once again O’Connor took to social media writing a second open letter of 425 words where she drops the F bomb more than once!
“Miley… Really? Who the f*&#K is advising you? Because taking me on is even more f*&#n’ stupid than behaving like a prostitute and calling it feminism…”
O’Connor is now asking Miley the following…
1. To remove her offending tweet
2. To publicly apologize to her
3. To Amanda Bynes (who’s name was innocently brought up)
4. And to every person who is/has suffered from a mental illness or sexual abuse
AND if Miley were not to apologize publicly O’Connor would resource to pressing charges against the twenty-year-old artist!
Miley who will be guest attending SNL (Saturday Night Live) tweeted she was to busy working and couldn’t continue talking to the much heated up O’Connor but gave her the opportunity of meeting up:
The last message shared between both artist was O’Connor’s third open letter posted early Friday morning stating “I have no interest whatsoever in meeting you…”
Miley made NO comment or apology regarding O’Connor on last nights SNL! What do you think? Should Miley make an effort and apologize or should O’Connor proceed with legal actions?Google+
