Lil’ Kim Remixes Iggy Azalea’s Fancy

Facts About Lil KimIf you thought Fancy couldn’t get any worse, you were wrong. The smash hit of the summer, Fancy by Iggy Azalea and Charlie XCX isn’t the best song to hit the radio in a long time, yet it still garners radio play like you wouldn’t believe. Iggy sounds more like a caricature of a real female MC rather than a real female MC. Like she’s forcing out her words to make it sound like she’s from New York or some other place from the eastern seaboard. To make matters worse, irrelevant rapper Lil’ Kim released a remix on SoundCloud.
While Kim has been bumped off to make room for Nicki Minaj, she’s been trying to itch her way back releasing mixtapes and singles here and there. While Iggy has been trying her best to move Nicki out of the spotlight and into obscurity, which explains why Nicki released the cover to Anaconda before the song itself, Kim seems to have placed her foot down and sided with the enemy of her enemy.
Take a listen to the Kim verse below.

The verse isn’t as bad as I said it was but I do find it ironic. Iggy is trying so hard to sound like someone or something she’s not, Kim is doing the very same thing on the opposite end of the spectrum.
It’s as if she doesn’t sound like herself anymore. I’m all for getting a Lil’ Kim comeback, especially after The Naked Truth in 2005, but maybe forcing herself in places where she’s not needed or wanted and even sparking controversy with an album cover, I feel it may be completely over for Kim.
I could be wrong as she could release a secret album on Tuesday to completely turn the hip-hop on it’s head but the chances of that happening are 1 in a googol.
