James Franco’s Alien: Who Is He Really Modeled After?

Even before Spring Breakers hit the theaters, James Franco’s character, Alien, had created a stir among the music community.  Alien, who Franco said he modeled after Florida rapper, Dangeruss, was speculated to even be an attempt at mocking Kevin Federline.  The rapper, Riff Raff, however seems to think Franco based the character off him.

While Franco was initially cast at the same time that Riff Raff was being considered for a part in the movie, the rapper is convinced that Alien came about only after he was turned down for a role.  “The role I would have played would be like a drug dealer, or the friend of a drug dealer, Gucci Mane,” said Riff Raff. “James Franco was in the movie, but I was supposed to be in there also. Now James Franco is playing me.”

Despite their disagreements, the writer and director, Harmony Korine, will be teaming up with Riff Raff on a new book focused on intepreting Riff Raff’s eccentric tweets.  But they still don’t appear to be seeing eye to eye.  When asked if Korine was accurately translating his 140-characters, Riff Raff responded that no one could perfectly understand what he was saying.
