Justin Bieber was the original YouTube sensation. At the ripe age of 12, he posted his first video singing and soon swept the Internet as the talented, young child that he was. In 2007, Scooter Braun, a marketing executive of So So Deaf, accidentally stumbled upon Bieber’s videos. It wasn’t long before he soon found himself singing before Usher and signed to a record label. Thus, the teen pop sensation that inspired the next wave of fan obsession was born. But the cute little boy we watched as he rose from YouTube stardom to sold-out arenas is older and not at all the wholesome role model he was expected to become.
As typical of most celebrities that rise to fame at a young age, it wasn’t long before Justin Bieber shed his squeaky clean reputation. His first foray into the world of celebrity scandal occurred at the age of 17 when he flashed an obscene gesture at a photographer outside his 17th birthday party. Shortly after, Bieber was clocked driving over 100 mph, but the charges were later dropped. After a paternity scandal, hes started to shed some of his wholesome charm, but it wasn’t until 2013 rolled around that the pop star officially moved on from a reckless teenager to a genuine disrespectful diva.
The New Year kicked off with plenty of scandal for the artist when a paparazzo was killed pursuing Bieber’s car. Though he wasn’t actually involved in the incident, Bieber’s marijuana usage came to light shortly after. In March, he had a pet capuchin monkey confiscated after he could provide no legal documents proving his ownership and later assaulted a photographer in London. April brought about the Anne Frank scandal where he wrote in the museum’s guest book that hopefully Anne Frank would have been a Belieber. Though the media and fans were split on whether this statement was truly as disrespectful as everyone made it out to be, it’s when we first began to see the true signs of Bieber’s self-absorption.
Justin Bieber recently made headlines again when rather than using the urinal or toilet at a restaurant, he marched to the back of the venue and urinated in a bucket of mop water. To make matters worse, he also tossed in some profanities about the former president Bill Clinton in the act. While Bieber is having his diva spell, fans and other celebrities are taking extra precautions not to cause any more drama. The Boston Bruins roped off their logo when he visited to locker room to keep him from standing on it as he had rudely done in Chicago. Even Miley Cyrus is suggesting that the pop star take a break and get his act together before he goes too far. But no matter his actions, I’m sure his throng of Beliebers will be supporting him the entire way.Google+
