Emeli Sande is an extremely talented Scottish singer/songwriter who shot to stardom via a Chipmunk single, Diamond Rings. She recently received the Critic’s Choice Award at the Brit Awards becoming the first Scottish person to ever win the honor.
Emeli’s style is very soulful and reminiscent of the early 90’s soulful pop sound. She is also an excellent songwriter haven written for Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle, and the Original Sugarbabes. In one of my favorite songs by Emeli, Kill A Boy, she sings “I walk around with a bullet on my tongue,Killer written on my face. I know that when he finds out what I’ve done,It’s gonna take his life away.”
