Do We Really Want A Sequel To Timberlake’s ‘The 20/20 Experience?

1 996

Justin Timberlake’s latest album, The 20/20 Experience, is not only a great album but a daring one that mixes multiple genres of music and establishes JT as an artist further away from his N*Sync days.  With musical inspirations from the classic 70s R&B, funk, African rhythm, pop, and soul, The 20/20 Experience was one of the most pleasant albums I heard in a while.  No two sound the same, like his two singles Suit and Tie and Mirrors.

Now, Justin has announced a sequel to his album coming later in the year.  The 20/20 Experience 2 is set to drop on September 30, 2013 and fans are excited.  The album, depending if you went to Target to get the deluxe edition, only has ten songs and the sequel is set to come with another ten.  But do we really need this new album in four months?

The answer for some may be a definite yes but I say yes and no. I did like his last album and there is still much to explore.  Usually for me, I take to one or two songs that I play constantly and then I appreciate other songs more and more, getting the full experience.  A sequel may seem like a far ways away but four months can sneak up on you.  I would release the album next year to have this one marinate with fans.

However, despite my feelings towards the very quick releasing of his sequel album, I will stand on line and purchase it.  But Mr. Timberlake is going to busy this year with a world tour.  His dates are as follows, according to The Huffington Post:

I think this album is absolutely amazing! I loved the first album as well but this one incorporates a lot of new styles and I dig it. I think this was a home run and it shed some light on what we can expect in the future from JT. Get your copy of “The 20/20 Experience” part 2 9/30!
