Paul Walker, actor in over twenty films such as Varsity Blues, She’s All That, Running Scared, Eight Below, Flags of Our Fathers, and, of course, The Fast and the Furious series, has past away this past Saturday from a fatal car crash. On Saturday, November 30, Paul Walker was the passenger in Porsche Carrera GT when it lost control and rammed into tree in Southern, California. The car then burst into flames charring both the driver and Walker.
The driver was a friend of Paul’s, 38-year-old Roger Rodas, whom left behind a wife and two children. Walker himself left behind a girlfriend and a daughter, 15-year-old Meadow. Police say that speeding may have been a major factor but they are launching an investigation to understand what exactly happened that lead to both these men’s demises.
According to early reports, Paul Walker died of combined effects from both traumatic and thermal injuries. Rodas died of multiple traumatic injuries. Does this mean that Walker was still alive when the car burst into flame? Time will tell in the future if this is true. They did state that both bodies were so badly damaged they could not even be identified properly.
Walker was in the middle of production on Fast and Furious 7 with Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson. Director Justin Lin and Universal has since put production on hold as the writers comes up with a way to write around Walker’s death. Walker starred in six out of the [impending] seven Fast and Furious films.
