The 10 Best Nursery Themes for Baby
Let me preface this article with a mind-blowing fact: I’m a nerd. I love anything and everything that is categorized in “geekery,” so when I began to write this article about the best baby nurseries (because that’s what this will eventually be about) most of my examples were somehow related to something that people could dress up as and go to ComicCon. So if you’re pregnant and are looking for ideas as to how to decorate your new addition’s nursery (and are a geek like me), keep on a-scrollin’ because I’ve got some great ideas for you.
1. Super Mario
Any gamer will love this nursery. Your little one may not be able to fully appreciate it until years later, but they’ll look back on it and realize how awesome their parents are.
2. Alice in Wonderland
You may want to nix having the Chesire Cat present in your decorations (that feline is creepy), but that teacup bookcase? I MUST HAVE IT.
3. Star Wars
I’m sure there are many Star Wars-themed nurseries, but I love that this crib is protected by two light sabers and has a most-fitting quote above it. “I think you just can’t bear to let a gorgeous guy like me out of your sight.” Perfect.
4. Doctor Who
The Tardis on the wall is what got me.
5. The Beatles
If you love The Beatles, or underwater sea adventures, turning your child’s crib into the yellow submarine is the route you should take. That’s just darn clever.
6. Alphabet
This doesn’t fall under the “geekery” category, but I’m a sucker for any nursery that involves the alphabet. I don’t know why. BUT LOOK AT THE LETTER “O”! It’s a button. SO CUTE.
7. Finding Nemo
You could totally turn your child’s nursery into a Finding Nemo theme, but if you do, you MUST get this wall decal. “Look, you’re really cute but I can’t understand what you’re saying.” Couldn’t be more on the nose.
8. Superman
Though Superman is not my favorite superhero, this nursery is pretty awesome. You could leave it non-superhero-specific and decorate it like a comic book.
9. Woodland Fairy
I really didn’t know what else to call this nursery, but that’s what it reminds me of—a woodland fairy. Look at those flower lamps! And a tree?! I can’t get over how awesome this is.
And for the best nursery in the history of nurseries…in my most biased opinion…
10. HARRY POTTER NURSERY
If I haven’t said it before, I’m a lover of all things Harry Potter. These parents really know how to raise kids correctly. There’s really no other way.
